The menu system for this site allows users to navigate the menus with only the keyboard. Supported browsers are:

  • Any Mozilla browser
  • Windows Internet Explorer 5+
  • Opera 7+
  • Safari 1.2+
  • Konqueror 3.2+

In other browsers you can still navigate the main bar using Tab and Shift + Tab or whatever keystrokes you would normally use.

The following is a list by browser of common keyboard shortcuts:

Mozilla , Safari or Internet Explorer:
F12
Jump onto or away from the navigation menu bar
arrow keys
Move around the menus in two dimensions
Enter
Active a link
Opera:
A and Q
Allow navigation in much the same way as the arrow keys
Shift + arrow keys
Move around the page in two-dimensions. This is also known as spatial navigation
Opera 8:
Voice commands, such as "previous/next link", "open link", and the "move" commands of spatial navigation.
